Svaki film je na neki način odraz vremena u kojem je snimljen. I svaka sitnica je bitna, a o izgledu glumica da i ne govorimo. Filmske zvijezde često nam diktiraju značajke mode i stila. Primjerice, 1930-ih i 1940-ih dame su nosile ukovrčane frizure, dok je 1980-ih kosa odražavala burnu atmosferu desetljeća.
